About Snowtaire Kennels

Barbara Decker has been involved with showing & breeding terriers since the late 60’s.  Her first breed was the Welsh Terrier.  At that time the dogs carried the Bar-Don kennel name. 

In 1980, Barbara married Chuck, and the kennel name was changed to Snowtaire, for the snow on Mt. Rainier and being a bit different than others with terriers by spelling the balance of the name “aire”.  Their first Wire Fox was one that Barbara purchased for Chuck. They later added the Lakeland & Irish Terriers.
